wierd reports problem

if anyone else has ever had this problem, please help.
i have a number of fields that i want to print on the same page. i put a frame around them and the page protect is working fine. however if i close the report, reopen it and rerun it, it just deletes a field within the frame at random. if i take the frame off that deletion seems to stop but then my report doesn't page break right. anyone have any suggestions.
