oo40 and oracle fail safe

We are running clients using oo40 connecting to a central database running on nt. We wish to make the system more resisiant and to this end we are going to put oracle fail safe on the database server. We know that our pro*c programs need modifying to be able to automatically fail over but what about our oo40 clients, is this already built in?
