I have a lot of theories about what direct path exp/imp do under the covers, but I'm not really sure of anything, except that they are really fast.

My questions are this:
Is it safe to do a direct path imp if your schema shares a tablespace with other schemas, or is there a chance that you will overwrite someone else's objects?
Less important, what exactly does direct path imp do?
If RTFM is the answer, where is TFM?
Thanks,
