Personal oracle 8 and developer 2000

        i have downloaded and installed the personal oracle 8 and developer 2000 from www.oracle.com. Personal oracle 8 works properly. HOwever, when i use developer 2000 to connect to the datbase, it gives error : ORA12154: TNS: counld not resvolve the servive name I added the alias of the service name of the database. ANd I connect to the databse by:

user name: system
password : manager
database : temp
