[Quoted] I have spent the last week installing WebDB on a Solaris box.

This product Oracle claims is "Easy to install", yet an installation of WebDB on Solaris results in technical notes relating to NT being installed !?! (listener/doc) Is it me or does NT now seem to be the preferred platform ?

Not only that but the release supplied does not work (2.0.5.6.1), the product installs fine (after getting round the fact we have over 10 tablespaces, copied the entire cd to local disk etc ...).

Ok, so lets see if theres a patch, nothing to say it fixes the Site Building but lets try anyway, (2.0.5.7.1), oh look, site building now works !, but wait a minute, some tables have failed ...

It would appear the patch is specific to Oracle 8 being that it tries creating tables/columns with datatypes of CLOB !!!

So, Is there a patch for 7.3.4 ? What do these tables do (wwv_ctx_%)? The site "seems" to work fine ...

<sigh>
