Help for jDeveloper 2.0 project

I am using a jTabbedPanel with a gridControl in each, bound to a rowSetInfo. What I want to do is switch the Navigation Control to be bound to the rowSetInfo associated with each panel when it gains focus. I have tried using setDataItemName() to no avail. Perhaps using dataSetItemChanged() would help but I'm not sure how to generate the old and new Objects neede as parameters. Methods getDataItem() and getDataItemName() cannot be resolved by the compiler. Any useful suggestions are appreciated. Tahnks.
