Designer2000 & Relationship Cardinality

Hi all,
I've just started using Oracle Designer2000 (R 2.1.2) and have run into a bit of a problem - I want to control the cardinality on the relationships between my entities. I know that I can do this through the Repository Object Navigator, but any restrictions that I place on cardinality this way do not get picked up in the Design Editor (where I am looking to generate DDL which will include these constraints).
Am I misunderstanding the way that Designer works? Or can anyone help me out with how to add cardinality constraints that will get picked up in DDL generation that I do from the Design Editor.
