When you write "Codds Rules" I take it you mean "Normalization" i.e. 1st to 5th and BCNF normal forms. This is the responsibility of the database designer not the Oracle server; you can implement any normalization scheme in an Oracle database. Normally, you may choose even to denormalize your physical database to a certain extent in order to achieve performance. Oracle simply doesn't care whether your tables are normalized or not. Cheers,
