Trigger to Update SQLServer Table

I need to write a procedure that will update some tables in SQLServer database. I spent about an hour trying to connect to the SQLServer DB from Oracle 7.3.4 DB using SQL plus. I couldn't find any documentation on this topic. I guessing I have a problem in the TNSNAMES.

Also once I get the procedure working at want to add it to trigger to the updates are synchronized. Anything I should what out for?
