HL7 formatted data into Oracle RDBMS

I am working on trying to load Laboratory data from a central repository, which
exports the information into a ASCII file based on HL7 standard format.

I am working on trying to load Laboratory data from a central repository, which
exports the information into a ASCII file based on HL7 standard format.
My questions are
- has anyone developed any utilities to parse the HL7 formatted file and to load into Oracle RDBMS?
- if yes, appreciate any feedback on how you did it? what you used? how long it took?
