Hi,
I've been trying to precompile an example in the Pro C/C++ documentation and keep getting this error message:

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Semantic error at line 72, column 19, file H:\projects\testDB\main.pc: EXEC SQL CONNECT :username IDENTIFIED BY :password;

..................1

PCC-S-02322, found undefined identifier
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I also get the same error message for all host variables in the program.

The example is a copy/paste from the Pro C/C++ documentation and so all the host variables are declared at the beggining of the file. The precompiler gives me only this error.

Can any one tell me what might the problem be?

Thanks.
