carrying page totals from one page to another

I have to build a report that carries a page total from one page to the next: v.g., I get a subtotal on one page, and on the first line of the next page this total has to be shown.

I have to build a report that carries a page total from one page to the next: v.g., I get a subtotal on one page, and on the first line of the next page this total has to be shown.
I have tried a number of combinations, including desperate mixes of triggers and page totals, but none works!
