"Event Not Unique" Error in Enterprise Manager

I'm experimenting with the Oracle 8 Enterprise Manager's event feature and
I'm getting failed submissions on new events stating "Event Not Unique".
I'm just trying to add an event that will monitor whether or not a database

is Up/Down. I had it working at one point, but now anytime I try to add that event, I get the error. I've removed all event registrations for the specified server, so none show up in my OEM console window. However, it appears as though the registered event still exists somewhere (presumably with the Agent on the destination server). HOW DO I REMOVE THE REGISTERED EVENT SO THERE IS NO TRACE OF IT ON THE OEM CONSOLE AND THE DESTINATION SERVER? Thanks,
