Greetings,

I'm having dificulty in configuring WebDB's cgi wrapper to login to the WebDB database on Solaris using Oracle 8.0.5. I belive I've set the Apache web server up properly, however the listener error message I get is:

( src/wwwx.c, 85) Initialized successfully
( src/wwwu.c,817) script_name = '/cgi-bin/wdbcgiw'
( src/wwwu.c,818) proc_name = '/WebDB/'
( src/wwwu.c,824) theUrl(before decode) = '/cgi-bin/wdbcgiw/WebDB/'
( src/wwwu.c,826) theUrl(after decode) = '/cgi-bin/wdbcgiw/WebDB/'
( src/wwwu.c,857) dadname = 'WebDB', path_info = 'WEBDB.home'
( src/wwwu.c,868) Service will NOT use database auth
( src/wwwx.c,213) Auth info from .APP file is being used
( src/wwwd.c,1559) Not reusing since 'WEBDB' != ''
( src/wwwd.c,1656) Attempting to logon with 'WEBDB/WEBDB'
( src/wwwd.c,1668) Database LogoN olog failed -7200
( src/wwwd.c,1693) Failed connect as WEBDB/WEBDB
( src/wwwx.c,260) Going to select...
( src/wwwx.c,425) Shutdown has been called

I've tinkered with the wdbsvr.app file and can force it to ask for a password. The listener and gateway files work OK. I'm new to Oracle so I'm proabley missing somethjing obvious!

I think this is the key:

( src/wwwu.c,868) Service will NOT use database auth

How do I force the cgi progarm to use database auth?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
