Something like 'Stretch with frame' does exit from version 3.0.
In 2.5 you have to create peaces of lines. Lines in repeating frames will repeat of course and so you have a kind of 'Stretch'. Be aware that the thickness of the line of the frame = 0, otherwise you can not get all the pieces of lines together (there will be space between them).
