Multiple lines on a button?

Anyone had luck making multiple lines for the label of a button? I know if I made an icon with the 2 lines of text and then said the button was iconic, then this would work, but I don't want to do that (maintenance problem). I tried imbedding a carriage return in text and pasting it into the label, but that didn't work either.
