KEY-NEXTitem trigger when multi Line property is true

Is there any way I can get key next item trigger work when the current item is a multi line text item?
I want <ENTER> to go to the next line in the same item but pressing <TAB> should get me to the next item. I could not locate it in forms help. But it was mentioned that Pressing <Carriage Return> will not fire next item trigger when multi line is true??
