I've never done this, but I saw a presentation once
at the UK Oracle user Group about using
Oracle Installer itself for this kind of task.
Apparently it has an underlying scripting
language which you can use to do pretty
well anything you might want to when
you are installing.
Oracle support may be able to help - I
gather that documentation on this
facility is rather light!
