OCI:olog and orlon

Hi.
Is it possible to emulate orlon by olog:

orlon(struct lda_def *lda, ub1 *hda, text *uid,

      sword uidl,text *pswd,sword pswdl,
      sword audit)

{

  return olog(lda,hda,uid,uidl,pswd,pswdl,(text *) 0, -1, OCI_LM_DEF); }

why, sometimes, then make ologof, the signal CHLD raises a great many times?

my system:

System = SCO_SV
Release = 3.2v5.0.4
KernelID = 97/05/07

oracle:
Oracle7 Server Release 7.3.3.6.0 - Production Release
