Business Objects problem

Hello,
I have Business Objects installed in my PC and have configured it access an Oracle8 database using SQL*Net v2.3. I have verified using SQL*Plus that the SQL*Net connection is OK. But when I tried to access a universe I get an error message - "Cannot access Repository Database". Does somebody know the solution to this problem. Please HELP. Thanx in advance.
