Are you shure omnidex is on Oracle?
[Quoted] I've been using an hp3000 with turbo image for years, this database did not have any way of keyed-indexing acces, wich Omnidex added to it. So Omnidex was a well known name on Hp3000 machines.

I'm Using Oracle now for several years but never saw the name Omnidex appearing, wich would have torn my attention of course.
