You can enable URL mapping to hide the username/password from your URL string.

Just create a text file named %ORACLE_HOME%/REPORTS30/OWSCMD.DAT if you are using the cartridge. Inside the file just put in your key you would like to map.

Ex.

Connect : usrid=scott/tiger_at_yourDB %*

You will also need to stop the WRB and Web server for this to take effect.

Then you can use the key in you URL

EX.

http://your_server/r30ows?Connect+report=abc.rdf+destype=cache+desformat=htm l
