Oracle Reports - Generate file from previewer

When I run a report thru a previewer I am unable to successfully generate to file (PDF or RTF). It turns out that when I try to generate to file the parameter values that I've passed into the report are forgotten and the report is run without the parameter values. The printing and the preview of the report works fine. Any information would be appreciated.
