The recommended way to do this (if the report always prints in landscape mode) is as follows:
Within the Object Navigator, click on the plus next to Data Model. Then click on the plus next to System Paramters. Double-click on the Orientation object. This will open a dialog box. Type 'Landscape' in the Initial Value field. The report will then print in landscape mode.
