Bernd,

Oracle Forms should run unchanged against an Oracle 8 database, unless you are manipulating the ROWID. There is a dbms_rowid package if you need to convert from one format to the other. SQL*Net V2 and Net80 can intercommunicate so you'll only need the Net80 listener.
