How can I encrypt a word that comes from a diplay_item in Forms4.5? I want to store this word encripted and then recover it later...

How can I encrypt a word that comes from a diplay_item in Forms4.5? I want to store this word encripted and then recover it later...
Is this possible, is there any function or any library with an encrypt function?
