problem with master detail relationship

hi all, Suppose that i have an isolated relationship between master and detail blocks in developer2000. I would like to know whether it is possible to delete the primary key of the records in master block(of the associated master table), when there are associated detail records corresponding to that master record. Answers can be sent to my hotmail id also - arunal_at_hotmail.com. Thanks in advance aruna
