Des.2000/Dataflow Diagram

Please who knows the best way to draw a dfd in Designer/2000. Is it possible in version 1.2 or are the dfd-facilities better in version 1.3?

I'm looking forward for a answer because I'm trying to make a good, readable DFD but I'm hopeless because every DFD I try it is not possible to make a good one.
