Help! CR/LFs in Multiline Fields on WebServer Forms

The problem I'm having with Designer 2.1 (in NT) and Oracle Application Server 3.0 is as follows:
I have a table defined with several large VARCHAR2 columns (max 2000 each).
I have designed a form in Designer 2.1 which displays these columns as
multi-line text-entry fields. I allow the WSG to generate the PL/SQL code
for me. There
are no problems and I can display the resulting form in my web-browser.
I want to enter formatted text into my fields (with CR/LFs to break up the
text into paragraphs). If I do this and click the Update button I get the
following error: "Error! Update failed - please re-query as value for
<Column> has been modified by
another user".
If I remove the CR/LFs.. the Update works fine!
There is a bug report by Oracle apparently related to the problem I have described. It is #470364 but I don't know how to get the details. Does anyone know?
