Database server callbacks to clients across SQLNET

Hi everyone,

Please help me with the following situation.

We have an intranet where we have a DEC VAX 3100 running VMS where we have the Oracle version 7.1.3 database server. The database clients will be pcs running Oracle version 8.0 or 7.3. The client/server communications across the network is handled by Oracle SQLNET version 2.1.3.

There must be a way for the Oracle server to broadcast each change in the database to the client PCs that need to know about them. The database server is aware of the clients updating the database so it must also be able to tell the clients of any changes.

Any help appreciated. Thank you.
