Oracle and Apache WWW

Hi,

we want to migrate our current databases to an oracle. Is it possible to authenticate users of a apache webserver (access-restrictions) with an database/table from oracle?

At this time we use a module (mod_auth_mysql) for apache which does this job with an MySQL-Database.
