Kenhaub,

CASE*Method is Oracle's version of the System Development Life Cycle.

CASE*Designer is Oracle's CASE tool. The current name is Designer v 2.1. Previous release names have been CASE 5.0, CASE 5.1, Designer/2000

There is a book called CASE*Method, Tasks and Deliverables written sometime ago by an old Oracle guru Richard Barker. It provides you with a very good outline of the CASE*Method.

The new versions of Designer have basically kept to this SDLC. However, there is another book written through the Oracle Press called the Designer/2000 Handbook that provides you another view of the Oracle Development Lifecycle.

If you are planning on using the Oracle CASE/Designer toolset I highly recommend you read Richard Barker's books to get a feel for how the product evolved and the intent of each module.

CASE*Method, Entity Relationship Modeling CASE*Method, Function Modeling
