Multiple Instances of Word on Forms 4.5

I want to check if I have an instance of Word running before invoke and instance using OLE2 commands. I was able to do this when I was using Word 95 but I have recently upgraded to Word 97 and the commands are no longer the same. The OLE commands seem to have changed.
