[Quoted] Interesting subject Joe. Your 'rudimentary' scanning solution...I am looking for a way of scanning documents and only extracting the text and loading into Oracle db (i.e. no TIFF files to be loaded). The phases I see are
scan
ocr
load into oracle
Loading the text from a file into oracle is straightforward, but I am
wondering what my choices are for driving the scanner? Any clues?
cheers,
Jeremy
