Anyone used OTT to build UDT Java Class?

I have created a table with User defined types which I wish to access with Java. I read something from Oracle that states that if you wish to access Oracle UDTs you need to run the OTT program to create a Java class to use. OTT stands for Object Type Translator. Problem is I cannot get it to work and the documentation says nothing about Java. Has anyone used the Oracle Object functionality with Java.
