It strikes me that when you supply your username password, you are not supplying the database sid...

for example if your database is called test, you should try :-

d:\orant\bin imp73 username/password_at_test

Try to connect to sqlplus from dos, usually this is plus33.exe ... again supply username/password_at_test... if you can do this , it's not your interface driver.. which is the message which normally appears if you give the wrong sid anyway... Also try pinging your remote server...e.g

ping 190.200.100.1

 ( Whatever your IP server address is... )

If you get the message 'Ping Successful'.. then your sqlnet connection should be fine..
