SQL*NET and Dial Up Networking Dialog Pop Up

We have a customer machine that has both a LAN and Dial up connection configured.

When we try to access our dababase via the LAN using Microsoft's Oracle ODBC driver and SQL*Net, the dial up dialog pops up each time and we have to cancel it before we can attach to the database.

Any idea why ? and how we can stop it.
