Re: Dev2000 annoying features

Not sure about number 1 but for #2, 2 clicks on the "text icon" should leave the cursor in boilerplate edit mode. You should see a little red dot on the text button indicating that that's the mode you're in. (I haven't worked with Developer v2.x but it works for all prior releases).
