There's a PL/SQL library supplied with Developer/2000's Forms 4.5.5 on Microsoft Windows that contains functions to allow you to do this. Look in % ORACLE_HOME%\forms45\plsqllib. See the HINT.WRI file in the FORMS45\PLSQLLIB directory for more information.
