Designer v2.1.1 - Did anyone have this ERD problem ?

Hi,
Did anyone have the following problem (which one of my clients is facing) :
After upgrading from Designer 1.3.2 to 2.1.1, some ERDs cannot be opened and/or saved.
Also base tables cannot be re-generated.
I have contacted Oracle support about 4 weeks back but no useful response/solution yet.
Your ideas/inputs are welcome.
