Sorting in Reports

I know this is very basic, but how do you sort the output in Reports? I have a straight select and count(*) statment. I have been using an order by clause in the SQL query, but I was looking for a default ORDER BY option similiar to FORMS. Is there such a thing, or is the SQL query to only/correct way to do this?
