Hi Folks;

    It is a long and ugly story, but I am trying to uninstall/get rid of my net8 files so that I can do a clean install of the 32-bit SQL*Net 2.3.3. I have 7 dll's that refuse to be gotten rid of. The clean uninstall only partially worked and so in desperation I went to the "delete it all and start over" method. When I try to delete the files, I get an error message stating that "Cannot Delete File: Access Denied make sure it is not write-protected or in use by an application". So here are my questions/environment.

I am running NT Server 4.0 connecting to a HP-UX based 7.3 Oracle db. The seven .dll files appear to be for the listener, but I really don't know how to tell for sure.

How do I determine which application has the lock on the dll file?

How do I determine if the listener is still trying to work? It is not listed as a process or service.

If it is the listener, how do I stop the thing?

The files are:
core35.dll
core35o.dll
kg733.dll
nlsrtl32.dll
ora73.dll
sqllib18.dll
xa73.dll

Thanks in advance for any help. I am at a complete stop right now...
