OLE2 Forms and Excel

I am trying to run the OLEXCEL demo app with Forms 4.5.x. But it appears to be not working... It has an EXCEL.PLL module which calls a getcell() and a setcell () function. Each of these functions fail when calling the ole2.invoke_obj() method with a 305500 ole erro number. Has anyone experienced this before? Has anyone actually gotten the OLEEXCEL demo app working? I also tried the OLEEXCEL demo app provided with Forms 5.0, and the same thing happens... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks...
