Hi,

I'm hoping that you can help me with a pretty basic problem.

From within a VB5 application I have created an OLE object and have been able to log on to an Oracle database. so far so good.

I have also used the CreateSQL method to pass a SQL 'SELECT' statement. The VB app seems to cope with this OK (ie it does not fall over in a heap). That's as far as I can get. How do I retrieve the results set?

As a slight aside, I have chosen to try this method as the native VB dynasets that I have used in VB3 always seemed a little tempremental, and were generally slower than using ODBC. Is there any benefit (or disadvantage) of using 'CreateSQL' rather than the OraDynaset?

Thanks Everyone. Received on Thu Aug 20 1998 - 19:30:40 CEST
