Hello,

I am working with a customer that recently configured a new Unix server
(Unisys HR/6 running SVR4) to run Oracle Forms 3.0 and Oracle 7.3.3 and is
having serious problems for which Oracle has yet to resolve.

Security is controlled by symbolic links to forms. If the user
(application) calls a form which does not have a link in their current
working directory, the user should receive the message "FRM-40010: Can't read form XYZ". This was the behavior under 7.1.6 and an older version of Unix. Instead, a memory fault (core dump) occurs and the user is hung.

If anyone has migrated older Forms 3.0 applications to Unix and Oracle 7.3.3 with similar problems, please let me know if and how you resolved the problem. Oracle is currently unable to resolve this problem after several months. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
