OO4O Spreadsheet OCX

I am trying to use the Oracle Spreadsheet control OCX in a MSVC++ 5.0 application, and I am having no success. I called Oracle support, and they said that it only works with Oracle 8. (I'm running 7.3.3 client and 7.2.2.4 server.)

Has anyone successfully used this control?
A second question is how to use the MS Databound Grid with the Oracle Data Control if the build-in Oracle supplied OCX does not work?
