[Quoted] I have tried installing Designer/2000 on three separate occassions, seeming to follow the instructions as accurately as possible. I then run through the [Quoted] tutorial supplied with the software, and everything works perfectly until I try to generate a form.

From within the design editor, I specify the appropriate options and then click on "start" to generate the form from the module. The error I get is:

"CDI-23564: d:\orant\bin\cf50g32.dll could not be loaded or does not exist. Please check that the product has been installed correctly."

I'm running on NT, and I checked my registry settings for the hkey_local_machine->software->oracle->cgenf50 and the file is specified as above (d:\...). I also check the exact path specified above and find a 2.6 MB file of the same name.

What can I possibly be doing wrong?

I noted with interest that when I installed Des2k v2.1 there were a few notices at the end along the lines of "To get the full functionality of the product, you will have to install the following files: ..." of which one had [Quoted] to do with Forms, and one had to do with Reports.

Any clues on this? As I mentioned, I've been doing my best to follow the instructions. Am I missing something basic?

Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
