Des2k does not generate trigger to store calculated value in base table column

I have following columns in emp table
[Quoted] sal, comm and netsal which is sal + comm

I have following columns in emp table
[Quoted] sal, comm and netsal which is sal + comm
I set derivated expresstion for netsal to sal + comm in column text/derivation expression in detail usage of table.
When form is generated it correctly shows netsal column with sum of sal + comm but does not store this value in table
I have spent a whole day trying to find my mistake but invain.
I shall greatly appreciate any hint or help
