Hi:

Make sure:

. the form start.fmx is sitting in the directory defined in FORMS50_PATH
(environment variable in windows registry).
. the html is sitting in the virtual path defined in the listener level to store the html files.

From my expeience, the Netscape doesn't working properly because of the conflict classes in f45web.jar. You may have the following options:

  1. Try to access the page through Interent Explorer 4.0. but you'll find that the graphic are little bit fussy.
  2. Try appletviewer. Please read the Release Note came with the Developer/2000. There is a section to tell you how to use appletviewer.

Please note that it is not an easy job. You have to be patient until you got it running.

To see more error, in Netscape, click on Java Console.

Best regards,

<<File: cart.html>>

I manage to set up as instructed by you but I still cannot get anything running
Error encountered: Applet oracle.forms.uiClient.v1_4.engine.Main error:java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

forms listener on port 9000...
$ps -ef_grep f45

  oracle 15427 15426 51 16:58:11 pts/0 0:01 f45runw webfile=5,0   oracle 15426 15261 7 16:58:11 pts/0 0:00 f45srvm

my cart.html file as attached

(See attached file: cart.html)

what is the problem?

  1. should I create an additional listener for the Forms45 eg f45lis to run on port 9000?
  2. is my baseHTML suppose to point to cart.html?
