If it's a cold backup, then just restore it and restart it. NB. this will put you're ENTIRE DB back to where it was when you backed it up. If you just want to recover your current db, pull of the bit's you lost and recover it with the archive logs. Oracle will jump into recovery mode it it sees a data file is out of sync and needs recovery.
